POLITIQUE : COUP DE FORCE DU BUREAU RÉGIONAL DU SDF CONTRE LA DECISION DU NEC ANNULANT L’ÉLECTION DE CYRILLE NGNANG

MET IN BAFOUSSAM Sunday, April 14th, 2019, REGIONAL OFFICE PARTY BALANCE TO ACTIVISTS REQUEST OF ELECTORAL DISTRICT 1 BAFOUSSAM ^ER NOT PARTICIPATE IN ELECTIVE CONFERENCE SCHEDULED NEXT APRIL 28.

It is an office very against one of the resolutions of the NEC of March 24 that went to meet the grassroots activists in the electoral district of Bafoussam 1 ^st last Sunday. For nearly 2 hours clock, activists were trained by party cadres. Four themes were exposed: the stakes and challenges of politics, the mobilization and socio-professional integration of young people, the place of women in politics, and prospects ahead of the next elections.

Far from these themes developed in the constituencies (EC) Bafoussam 2 ^nd and 3 ^rd , activists Bafoussam 1 ^st received explanations on the resolution of the NEC in on the governing body of the cell. « We discussed the election of the President of the EC Bafoussam 1 ^stat the NEC. The first thing we noticed was that the commission that the NEC sent did not come. This commission presented a report in which the party’s secretary general, chief TCHATCHOUANG and the regional president were greatly insulted. The report accused them of being the ones who create disorder in Bafoussam; that they are gangsters. A speech inspired by DEFFO OUMBE SANGONG. The commission was not in Bafoussam and the question is: how can you report when you were not there? In this commission, there were two people: the Honorable AOUDOU CIPRIEN and the Honorable YOYO. The Honorable YOYO said that he has found that the Honorable MOCHIGLE is biased and that is why he does not want to work with him. We debated and the chairman said that he has already supported DEFFO too much in his activities in the West and that the party can not be sacrificed to the West because of DEFFO. DEFFO had worked with a number of people. It was the Mayor of Kumbo who returned to the resolution of the day before. He introduced a motion to invalidate the election of Bafoussam 1^er with the support of Joshua OSIH mainly some English. C hiefTCHATCHOUANG, who is second vice-chairman, has tabled a counter-motion, all of us from the west have supported this counter-motion. But unfortunately, we had lost our minds on the procedure. So that we still debated something that was no longer relevant because the party texts say that when we take a resolution, during the same NEC, we can not go back over it and if we must go back to it, you have to file a motion at the party secretary general or party chairman 7 days before the next NEC. We lost our minds and reached agreement to return to the vote. However, the opinion that supported DEFFO was a majority in the room because several members of the committee in favor of the cause of Cyrille NGNANG were no longer there. So the motion that the Mayor of K umbois a motion that violates the party texts. He misled the NEC and it is extremely serious. In fact, when this motion was introduced, the secretary general and the second vice-president left the NEC. We in the West have followed to avoid being associated with their decision to cancel the CE election Bafoussam 1 ^st . « 

PETITION OF REGIONAL OFFICE AGAINST NEC RESOLUTION ANNULATING CYRIL NGNANG ELECTION

A week after the NEC’s decision to resume the elections on April 28, the Western Regional Office meeting at the party headquarters in Bafoussam petitioned the Committee according to regional president Florent TCHANGOP:

« This petition was born following a resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) held in Yaounde March 23 and 24. We who were on this national committee. On 23 March, the Committee Executive National as a whole has validated the elections in the electoral district of Bafoussam 1 ^st and we who had Sunday bonds went Yaoundé knowing that the elections were validated by the NEC. Great was however our surprise to note that after us that we are informed that in the resolutions, the NEC invalidated this decision.Surprisingly, we were informed that an NEC member introduced a motion the next day after we left to ask the NEC to reconsider the decision that had been made the day before. This motion introduced is a violation of the party’s rules of procedure, especially in Article 11 paragraph A and G. Faced with this looting, the SDF is a party committed to legality, so we decided to first draft a petition to separate us and to say to the NEC that we do not agree with this new way of doing things regarding the resolution on the invalidation of comrade Cyrille NGNANG. We also call for the respect of the texts of the partyand therefore, we stick to the decision of the national executive committee of 23, namely, the validation of the elections held at the EC of Bafoussam 1 ^st by the national secretary to the organization «  .

Cyrille NGNANG, the president quarreled by the Honorable DEFFO meanwhile continues his activities in the field following the example of the meeting of April 14 held under his leadership:

 »  There is a heavy squad from the Western Region SDF who is crisscrossing all the ECs to mobilize the militants against party ideals and prepare them for the next elections. With regard to the EC Bafoussam 1 ^st , reassure the militants that the SDF Western section relies heavily on them. With regard to the NEC’s decision, we remain calm because there is Article 11 of our Rules of Procedure which does not allow that during the same session two different resolutions be adopted. Knowing that the SDF works in the legality we are a little reassured that the party hierarchy will look and in a favorable way to the office of the district of Bafoussam 1 ^st that I drive « .

At  that therefore benefits the mess in this constituency  ?
